Be Wise, Mission Out for that Oil.

32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time.
Please read God's Silent Message: Matthew 25.1-13

Yong ang tagal mo Syang hinintay, pero dahil hindi ka pala talaga prepared,
you still missed that chance!
Yong akala mong ready ka na, kaya umasa ka, pero may kulang pa rin pala.

Hahah … nakaka-relate ka po ba?
Have you also been caught unprepared in some instance?

Sometimes God sends us surprises us which make us unaware of what’s best to do and how – and in these instances, sometimes, we’re missing out on what’s most important in life.

The foolish ones, when taking their lamps, brought no oil with them,
but the wise brought flasks of oil with their lamps.”

Minsan kasi, yong akala mong ang dami mo nang ginawa, pero you just did it for the sake na “kasi kailangan” – it leads us to consequences which give us the choice that we’d never actually want to take.  It makes a lot of difference when you work hard on things with all your heart than “just because it is required.”

Sometimes all that it takes is for us to HEED GOD’S CALL.  At that moment when we are so uncertain, and yet, we allowed our senses to grasp what lies ahead, we are actually giving ourselves the chance to be attentive to God’s voice within us.

Yes dear friend, buti na lang you’re reading this!
Congratulations for being here – because today, God has actually initiated to fill your lamp with oil.  Together, let’s mission out a good relationship with God and with one and all here @The Feast San Lorenzo. ☺ #sunset

Never Doubt Just Because You Don't Understand

 Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Matthew 10:26-33

Sometimes we keep on doubting just because we do not understand!
Sometimes too, somebody has to eventually leave before we would understand the sacrifices accorded to us.

In today's Gospel, Jesus is telling us: "DO NOT BE AFRAID!"

Why?
Because even if He had to leave, God is sending the Holy Spirit to be our inner voice or conscience, to guide us in all of our endeavours.

According to Rev. Fr. Dondon Adona in his homily on the Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time,  Jesus is telling us NOT TO FEAR because of these three good reasons:

1.  "Nothing is concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known."

If only we will stand for the truth, nothing will go against us.
"Magsabi ka lang ng totoo. Di ka ililigaw nito!"

The morality will always be the  standard!
Never keep secrets that would steal your peace of mind!

2. "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather,
be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body.

Do not be afraid of those who will physically pain us
Be afraid of that which will kill us both physically & spirituality.

It takes some sort of sacrifice being a Christian! We should not conform with the worldly things which
makes us suffer physically and hinder us from attending to worthwhile things that would nourish our soul.

3.  "Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin?
Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father's knowledge.
Even all the hairs of your head are counted..."

We are worthy more than anything else because we are created in the image & likeness of God.
Our God have given us all the freedom from that time life arise in us.
All that He expects of us is that we too should make ourselves a valuable person.

At the end of it all, IT WILL ALWAYS BE A MATTER OF CHOICE!

We can always choose to let go of our apprehensions and proclaim God's greatness when even if He had to leave, He still thought of us and sent His Holy Spirit so that we may not go astray -- despite our doubts at first.

Thank you, Angels in Disguise!

Pls Read God’s Silent Message: John 14:1-12

https://www.facebook.com/ArtSignaturebyRGandMom/

Once, a baby asked God, “They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?… who will protect me?”

God answered: “Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you. Your angel will LOVE YOU AS I DO & defend you even if it means risking her life.”

Such God’s answer eased the baby’s worry and for the last time asked: “God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel’s name.” Then God said, “You will simply call her, Mom.

Just as Jesus said in today’s Gospel, “Do not let your heart be troubled!”, He sent us an “angel in disguise” to protect us from helplessness and to make us feel secured amidst worries.

God could have been so happy if every child would recognize how His assigned angel has done her tasks so well. But sad, that sometimes, it would take a story like this before a child would realize the importance of a Mother:
“Hello Operator, does Heaven have a phone number? Mommy went to Heaven, but I need her here today, my tummy hurts and I fell down, I need her right away. Operator, can you tell me how to find her in this book? Is heaven in the yellow pages, I don’t know where to look.I think my daddy needs her too, at night I hear him cry.I hear him call her name sometimes, but I really don’t know why. Maybe if I call her, she will hurry home to me. Is Heaven very far away, is it across the sea?  She’s been gone a long, long time she needs to come home now!  I really need to reach her, but I simply don’t know how. Help me find the number please, is it listed under “Heaven”?I can’t read these big big words, I am only seven.I’m sorry operator, I didn’t mean to make you cry,Is your tummy hurting too, or is there something in your eye? If I call my church, maybe they will know. Mommy said when we need help that’s where we should go. I found the number to my church tacked up on the wall. Thank you operator, I’ll give them a call.”
Whew!!….be worried if this simple short story didn’t make you cry. I read it twice and I shed tears thrice -- only to realize that a Mom’s task does not end where she had to stop.

She trains their kids to live the values that would make them dignified persons. She corrects and even reprimands each time a child disobeys and does things under peer pressure & other not so good influences.  She reaches out even when kids do not appreciate her every effort. She persists even when kids does not respond to her messages -- just to explain what kids should understand. She bears any sort of pain until so unaware her physical health already suffers.  She missions out not only to “bridge her every child’s needs” but also to the father of her kids.

If we will only read between these lines and allow God’s message to dig deep within our hearts, we would realize that every Mother’s bit of sacrifice is because The Father who dwells in her is doing His works.”

“I don't speak on my own authority.
The Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to say it.”John 12:49

In gratitude, we’d rather do something that would make her feel how much we hope not to give a heaven’s operator a call.  Instead, we would give HER the warmest HUG and whisper to her our heart out:
“THANK YOU, MY ANGEL IN DISGUISE!  I THANK GOD, HE GAVE ME YOU!

If you’re a “child” who came across this, please honor every STRIVING MOM you know,
specially yours whom Heaven-sent!

Happy Mother’s Day  Dear Angels in disguise!

Let us not be Caught "Off Guard"

Let’s grab the chance reflecting for the First Sunday of Advent
Pls Read God’s Silent Message: MT 24:37-44
Therefore, stay awake! For you do not know on which day your Lord will come.
Ready ka na ba?
Ready ka na ba to receive more of God’s blessings?
How prepared are you to answer na “ready ka na nga?”
What if tomorrow never comes? What if today is your last chance to answer this question?
While struggling to survive, I’ve been asking this to myself. Everyday, I would reflect: “Am I really ready should this day be my last?
Anong blessing pa kaya ang pwede kong tanggapin na dapat kong ika-ready?
Today is the First Sunday of Advent which means “Coming” – a time when we have to be reminded of the reality that we are living in the end times. The coming of Jesus which we celebrate at Christmas should be a constant reminder that we have to personally prepare ourself for His final return on the Day of Judgment – which no one really ever knows when!
Thing is … how PRODUCTIVE have we been as we prepare for such day?
That feeling of rush and persistence when you anticipate that you’re at the brim of such end, ang hirap din pala. It’s as if, you want to exert every extra effort just for you to make up for the lost chances. Haisst…ganito pala, when you feel that you don’t have plenty of time, you would as much strive to be watchful of your own thoughts and decisions in embracing God’s way instead of giving-in to your weaknesses and lame excuses. It has been useless pala allowing yourself to be pressured by financial problems while you sacrifice your health – for when your health already suffers, that’s the only time you’d realize that you have actually sinned against God because your “productivity mindset” has not been for “longtime perspective”!
Way to make ourselves ready? Here’s what I’ve realized: “the currency in heaven is never any amount of money” — BUT LOVE —which we need to share while preparing for His “coming”. It’s our ACT OF GRATITUDE to such love when we have accepted to play part in God’s great plan which is to make everyone of us “walk in the light of the Lord”.

Commit your work to the Lord, then it will succeed. — Proverbs 16:3

This is it I guess – the blessing that we need to be ready about! God wants us to flourish as a tree – so that we can continually give even when we’re no longer personally around to still give. #sunset

“Grasp that Gift…”

How many of the things that you know do you FULLY understand?

Are you that type who easily gets the picture which others find difficult to interpret?
Or are you most of the time that last person to identify with others when things are up?

What do you usually do when you don’t understand?
Do you worry much and think a lot?
OR … you just shrug your shoulders and care less?

Whether an architect could come up with a good plan or not, would depend upon his ability to visualize what his client wants; yet he should understand all other structures & relevant recommendations – along with a TEAM to be able to produce an effective blueprint.

Today, Jesus calls us to a certain state of discernment as we commemorate The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity where in the readings, the Father creates with wisdom that He wants us to achieve His Plan of Salvation; while the Son works to glorify His Father; and the Spirit will bring to completion, the work of the Father and of the Son.

When I was a child, I loved doing that sign “in the name of the Father, of the Son & of the Holy Spirit” although it confused me “how many Gods we have?”. When in High School I made every effort to read the Bible on my own, I hoped to understand what explains doing such sign with those three characters; yet, I was instead made to discover – not the answer to my query – but “a certain kind of relationship” to which I never afforded to cast any speck of doubt. I was instead made to experience a life of difference having God’s messages  which were not really as clear as the water, but which built a temple deep within my being.

Just as He told me then, He speaks again …
“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now…”John 16:12

The meaning? -- still ambiguous; mystery is still intact!  Yet, now that I’m already a Mom who wants to be a part of the lives of our kids even if I’m no longer around, I eloquently understand why God still needed to send the Holy Spirit even if Jesus has already done all the “coaching & modeling” that was instructed of Him. “Ganon pala talaga, if you have that love in your heart, ‘di ganon kadaling basta umalis na lang. Kailangan siguraduhin mong naituro mo lahat ng kailangan nilang matutunan. Kailangan mapaalalahanan mo sila ng mga dapat nilang gawin kapag sila na lang. And, just to be so sure na di sila makakalimot, ibibilin mo pa sila sa mga taong magpapaintindi sa kanila ng mga di pa nila naintindihan sa ngayon. “

The father, the mother and the children … is the team who should carry out the Architect’s blueprint!  Of each, there may be some messages which we may not understand at the moment.  To worry much and think a lot wouldn’t be a wise shift! But most of all, to just shrug our shoulders and care less should never be an option!  We should MOVE instead, and grasp any of the gifts of the Holy Spirit: [1] wisdome, [2] understanding, [3] counsel/right judgement, [4] fortitude/courage, [5] knowledge, [6] piety/reverence: deep sense of respect for the Church, [7] fear of the Lord/wonder & awe for us to be the Biggest Winner!
